VI edition of the ‘Best Artisan Panettone in Spain 2021’ contest
The VI edition of the Best Artisan Panettone in Spain 2021 contest has ended. The contest took place on Tuesday, October 19 at Gastronomic Forum Barcelona and has introduced a delicious novelty: for the first time, it has been awarded in two categories, the best classic panettone of fruits and the best chocolate panettone.
Cal Jan Best Chocolate Panettone in Spain
The panettone by Rafael Aguilera and Magí Rovira, from Pastisseria Cal Jan, has won the award for ‘Best Artisan Chocolate Panettone in Spain 2021’. A well-deserved award for the innovative pastry shop that does not forget the artisanal processes for making its panettone.
Currently, Rafa and Magí, trained at the Hoffman Pastry School and with experience alongside professionals such as Toni Viñas, Jordi Bordas, Josep Maria Rodríguez and Eugeni Muñoz, have establishments in Torredembarra and the Mercat de Tarragona. They make signature, modern pastries, and one of their differentiating points is their creative individual cakes.
