The pastry shop Cal Jan, from Torredembarra, has received this important award for the second time in three years.
Adrià and Rafel Aguilera collected the prize as winners of the 2025 Best Artisan Chocolate Panettone in Spain Competition.
Indeed, the Barcelona Pastry Guild and the EPGB Barcelona school have honoured us with the award for Best Artisan Chocolate Panettone in Spain 2025 🏆 at the Best Panettone Competition. It is the second time we have received this distinction—an achievement we are proud to share with all of you!
The competition final, held במסגרת the Gastronomic Forum Barcelona, featured a jury made up of renowned professionals from the sector: Toni Vera (Mervier Canal) and Felipe de Santa Cruz (Madeleine by Ferrières), winners of the previous edition; bread expert Iban Yarza; pastry chef Ramón Morante; and chef Sergio Torres (Cocina Hermanos Torres), among others. They assessed flavour, aroma, crumb structure, and shape, among other factors.
